SERDEC joins CISLAC, Transparency International on the SAND Project.

As part of a wider learning project being rolled out to build active citizenship that engages the defence and security discussion, SERDEC joins other civil society organisations drawn from across the six geo-political zones of nigeria for a technical training workshop on Defence Accountability and Transparency under the Strengthening Accountability in the Nigeria Defence Sector (SANDS) project which was launched in Nigeria by Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) in partnership with Transparency International (TI-DSP).

The training was organized to raise awareness, build the capacities of actors drawn from the 6 geo-political zones on defence anti-corruption campaign, develop practical tools to help participants build integrity, transparency and accountability and reduce the risk of corruption in the defence and security sector. SERDEC as part of the Defence and Security Learning Working Group (DSLWG) will be implementing a defence accountability step down training, to promote anti-corruption and advocate for Transparency and Accountability in the Nigeria Defence Sector.
